Are you a licensed massage therapist moving to Florida?

If so, you may have already learned becoming licensed in Florida can be a bit of a process. To transfer your massage license to Florida, you must complete a process called “Licensure by Endorsement.”

There are 4 steps to becoming licensed by endorsement:

1) You must show proof of your current license.
2) You must provide an official transcript from your 500 hr (minimum) massage training program.
3) You must complete 3 ethics courses. These courses are a two (2) hour Prevention of Medical Errors course, a three (3) hour HIV/AIDS course, and a ten (10) hour Florida Law Course.
4) Complete the application, submit $155 application fee, and submit all transcripts to the board for review.

Until recently, the board required the above mentioned ethics courses to be taken in a seminar format. The board has recently allowed these courses to be taken in a home study format, allowing massage therapists to complete the endorsement process before moving to Florida.

At Advanced Massage Techniques, we have created a Florida Massage License by Endorsement package to help you complete the ethics requirement of this process with ease. This package is available in eBook or Textbook formats, and can be downloaded immediately after purchase.

Need more information? Learn more about transferring your license to Florida.
